Oklahoma City: Reconnecting a Disconnected City
A Capital Divided by Policy and Possibility
Oklahoma City is expansive in land and history, yet fractured by inequity. From its Indigenous displacement to urban renewal projects that bypassed communities of color, OKC has long operated with a gap between investment and impact. Black and Brown communities—especially on the east side—have faced decades of underfunding, environmental harm, and exclusion from economic growth.
Our Commitment: Connect. Redistribute. Reclaim.
At ADO Foundation, we see OKC as more than a city—it’s a region ready for redesign. We center equity by reconnecting marginalized communities to the systems that have historically shut them out—education, housing, health, business, and culture. Our work focuses on creating infrastructure rooted in dignity, access, and community ownership. This isn’t about catching up—it’s about redesigning the race.
